Antique French black cotton metis shirt chemise with patches and mends size S/M. Linen/Cotton blend - "metis". 100% Cotton collar, sleeves and patches. Dyed black. Collar, button tab, handgathering at back of neck, shoulders and cuffs, side slits, lots of patches and mends - well worn. Size: Chest: 40 inches; Shoulder to shoulder: 20 inches; Sleeve length: 20.5 inches; arm inseam: 20 inches; Length: 36.5 inches (front); 40.5 inches (back). Weight: allow up to 1 kg once packed. Condition commensurate with age and use - lots of patches and naive hand mends and darns but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Not for the pristine amongst us. Suitable for those of us who like mends and patches and appreciate that they add interest to a garment.
