Antique 19th Century landscape oil painting ruined monastery signed H Hudelette. French, circa 1890. Signed by the artist, H Hudelette. Oil on canvas. Depicts monastery with nuns and sheep in valley and a couple of musicians on rocks - French Romanticism. Size: 24 x 16.25 inches. Weight: 650g (allow 4.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some areas of damage to canvas, some paint loss and 2 repairs to reverse but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
