Antique European handmade dark navy indigo blue linen hemp pinafore apron dress size S. Continental, European - possibly Slovakian or similar but unsure of exact origin. 100% Linen/Flax/Hemp. Overdyed a dark inky indigo blue. Intricate pleat handgathering at front of skirt with plainer sides and floral hem and a contrasting bodice - amazing handiwork. This was originally a smaller dress but it has been cut open at the back and the width of the back expanded by adding a piece of black linen fabric, the shoulder straps lengthened and mother of pearl buttons added to make a more wearable pinafore apron dress. Wear over a plain shift dress. Size: Chest: 34 inches; Waist: 32 inches; Length: 39 inches. Weight: allow up to 2 kg once packed. Good condition for its age.
