Antique early Victorian study of girls at a well with donkeys and dog by CS Cobb 1855. American, exhibited 1855 (see provenance on reverse). Actual painting is unsigned but the artist's detail are on reverse. Oil on board. Gilt frame is more modern. Depicts a well scene near the beach with girls and child, donkeys and dog. Size of frame: 14 x 10 inches; Size of painting: 12.25 x 8.25 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 12 x 7.75 inches. Weight: 461g (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some minor knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
