Antique early Victorian oil painting portrait study of farmyard with pigs. English School, circa 1840-60. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on panel - a handcut, substantial piece of wood. Elaborate gilt gesso frame (more modern). Depicts a farmhand feeding the pigs with ladies looking on. Size of frame: 17.75 x 16 inches. Size of panel: 12 x 10 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 11.75 x 9.75 inches. Weight: 2.2 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Reasonable condition for its age.
