Antique early Victorian iron tongs sugar cutters or sugar loaf nippers or snips. English, circa 1840- 1860. Metal tongs made from hand forged wrought iron. Originally used for cutting off chunks of sugar from a large lump. Size: length: 8 inches. Weight: 228g (allow up to 1 kg once packed). Condition commensurate with age and use - various superficial marks & scratches and some corrosion but all part of their charm and character. Priced accordingly.
