Antique Dutch signed landscape oil painting study of winter snowscene with figures on path. Dutch, circa 1850-80. Signed by the artist but tricky to decipher signature. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a winter snowscene with figures on path and village in the distance. Size of frame: 20.75 x 17 inches; Size of canvas: 16 x 12 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 15.25 x 11.5 inches. Weight: 2.2 kg (allow 6 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, it has been remounted onto new canvas backing at some point in its life, and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
