Unsigned, artist unknown, but provenance on label on reverse: Tiermaler, Holland um 1830, Rindergruppe am Waldrand". Oil on oak panel. Gilt gesso frame (more modern). Depicts cows and calves in woods - a bucolic scene. Size of frame: 13.5 x 12.25 inches; Size of panel: 8.25 x 7 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 8 x 6.75 inches. Weight: 1.1 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and lots of craquelure but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
