Antique Dutch oil painting portrait of gentleman in hat with feather signed LH Edwards 1886. Continental, Dutch. Dated 1886. Signed by the artist at top corner. Depicts a gentleman in a hat with feather. After Rembrandt. Oil on panel. Gesso frame painted black. Size of frame: 25.5 x 21.25 inches; Size of portrait: 19 x 14.75 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 18.5 x 14.25 inches. Weight: 3.4 kg (allow up to 10 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some minor scuffs and some knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged.
