Antique Dutch landscape oil painting study of farm girls and livestock. Dutch School, circa 1800-50. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame . Depicts a couple of farm girls with cattle and sheep and farmer in hat. Size of frame: 20 x 16.5 inches. Size of canvas: 14.75 x 12 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 14.5 x 11.5 inches. Weight: 1.85 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This painting is quite sombre and melancholy and, although photographed in daylight, please understand that it is quite dark in reality.
