Antique Dutch handmade long blue wool gathered skirt size M UK 12

Antique Continental handmade long blue wool gathered skirt size M/L. Dutch, circa 1900. 100% Wool. Flat front with pleated handgathering at back of waistband, contrasting black fabric at waistband, side openings, with hook and eye fastening one side and open pocket on the other, trim at hem - naive, hand stitched garment. This would originally have been worn underneath a wool skirt, as a warm undergarment/underskirt. You can insert a pocket bag underneath where the side opening is - see my other listings. Size: Waist: 26 inches (adjustable with 3 hook & eyes at waistband). Length: 33 inches. Weight: 1.1 kg (allow 1.5 kg once packed). Condition commensurate with age and use - waistband has different trim in sections and skirt hem has been let down so faint mark - would benefit from a press. Priced accordingly. Great costume or prop (if not to be worn). Fabulous for the cold weather.
