Antique Dutch handmade long black wool skirt with button detail size M/L. Continental, Dutch, circa 1900. 100% Wool. Flat front with hook & eye fastening at side with aperture, intricate handgathering at sides and back, button decoration and satin frill tier, velvet dust trim at hem, beautifully lined at bottom in brown cotton/silk blend fabric. Size: Waist: 32 inches; Length: 37 inches. Weight: allow 1 kg once packed. Condition commensurate with age and use - some hand mends at top front on flat section and some further hand mends at button section lower down so not perfect but all part of its make do and mend charm and character. Priced accordingly. A wonderful old skirt, beautifully made - would make an ideal costume for play/theatre (if not to be worn).
