Antique Dutch handmade brown linen and silk skirt size S/M

Antique Dutch handmade brown linen and silk skirt size S/M. Continental, Dutch, circa 1890. Linen and silk blend - fabulous quality fabric. Flat waist with tier and intricate pleat detail at hem, back opening with tie, pocket opening lower down at side (unusual) and side slit. A lot of work has gone into the vertical pleat pintuck detail. This type of skirt would have been worn by Dutch women for Sunday best. Size: Waist: 27 inches (adjustable with tie); Length: 31 inches. Weight: 265g (allow 750g once packed). Condition commensurate with age and use - there is a small tear in the hem but easily fixed with a stitch; otherwise fine - a beautiful thing. Priced accordingly. Great costume or prop (if not to be worn).
