Antique Dutch handmade black wool and linen gathered skirt size M. Continental, Dutch, circa 1900. Wool and linen blend - fabulous quality fabric. Flat at front with intricate pleat handgathering at sides and back of waistband, 2 deep side openings with hook & eye fastenings one side, braid trim at hem. This type of skirt or apron would have been worn by Dutch women for Sunday best. You can insert a pocket bag inside to access via side opening - see my other listings. Size: Waist: 30 inches (adjustable with 2 sets of hook & eyes); Length: 32 inches. Weight: 1 kg (allow 1.5 kg once packed). Good condition for its age - it has been let down at front and hem so needs a press but otherwise fine.
