Antique Dutch Flemish oil painting study of peasant hunting hares with dogs. Continental, Dutch or Flemish, circa 1850-1900. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on panel. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 25.5 x 18.5 inches; Size of panel: 18.5 x 11.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 18 x 11 inches. Weight: 4.5 kg (allow 8 kg volumetric weight once packed). Reasonable condition for its age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and the frame has had some minor restoration but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the buyer accepts this risk if having the item delivered by courier.
