Antique Dutch coastal marinescape with sailing boats

Antique Dutch coastal marinescape with sailing boats. Dutch School, circa 1840-80. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on panel. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts sailing boats off the coast with figures on the shore. Size of frame: 17.5 x 14.5 inches; Size of panel: 13 x 10 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 12.25 x 9.5 inches. Weight: 1.8 kg (allow 6 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some damage to the frame, ie some cracks, knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame, particularly in bottom righthand corner, but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Please DO satisfy yourself as to the condition before buying. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged.
