Antique distressed river landscape oil painting of ruined castle at sunset signed J Turner Kelly 1906. English, dated 06 (1906). Signed by the artist, John Turner Kelly (British). Oil on board. Decorative but distressed gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 18.5 x 15 inches. Size of painting: 11.5 x 8.5 inches. Size of front painting aperture: 11 x 7.75 inches. Weight: 2.1 kg (allow 6 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, lots of damage to the frame, ie lots of knocks to and lots of pieces of gesso missing but all part of its charm and character. Think Faded Grandeur or Shabby Chic. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the item cannot be returned for this reason.
