Antique depiction of the suffering of Christ in copper. English, circa 1880. A 3-dimensional portrait of the Messiah with crown of thorns, made of cast copper. Ebonised frame. Size of frame: 18.75 x 16 inches; Size of front aperture: 15.5 x 12.75 inches. Weight: 2.1 kg (allow 6 kg volumetric weight once packed). Tatty condition, quite distressed - commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and lots of damage to frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Sold in the raw. Best described as shabby chic. Melancholy.
