Antique Continental oil painting portrait study of a marriage betrothal. Continental School, circa 1880-1900. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas laid on board. Gilt gesso frame. Depicts a family scene with father and mother, daughter and potential son in law - possibly a marriage betrothal. Size of frame: 15.75 x 13.5 inches; Size of canvas: 10 x 8.5 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 9.5 x 7.25 inches. Weight: 1.75 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some superficial staining to canvas but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
