Antique Continental German oil painting portrait of an elderly man. Continental, German, circa 1920s-30s. Signed by the artist but tricky to decipher signature. Provenance on reverse in German which translates to English as follows: "Portrait of a Man (old man) Property of Miss Gertrud Florian at the house of Oskar von Miller, Niederpöcking No. 4. Loaned to the Protestant Convalescent Home for Returning Soldiers in Niederpöcking No. 6." Oil on canvas. Carved wooden frame. Size of frame: 19.5 x 16.5 inches; Size of portrait: 17 x 14 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 17 x 14 inches. Weight: 1.2 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
