Artist's name on plaque ("W Jones") and provenance on reverse with artist's name, date and title: "By whom: William Jones, Date: 17/6/67, Size: 11.5 x 9.5, Title: Disembarking. Artist is William Edward Jones (active 1849-1877). Oil on canvas. Gilt frame (more modern). Depicts figures on beach disembarking, loading the catch, with traders on horseback". Size of frame: 18 x 12 inches; Size of canvas: 15.5 x 9.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 15 x 9 inches. Weight:800g (allow up to 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
