Antique bronze decorative mantel clock by HP & Co dated 1884

Antique bronze decorative mantel clock by HP & Ce dated 1884. Possibly French. A retirement gift - provenance on front. Engraved as follows: "Presented to Mr John Harrop upon his retirement from the office of Verger of St Hilary's Parish Church, Wallasey, after twenty five years service by the Clergy and Members of the Congregation in token of their esteem and regard. Wallasey, October 1884". Decorative heads and handles each side, font at top with dragon decoration. Size: height: 20.5 inches; width: 12.5 inches; depth: 7.5 inches; weight: 12 kg (allow up to 15 kg once packed). Reasonable condition for its age - superficial marks & scratches but overall fine. Please note there is no pendulum, otherwise intact. Sold as seen. This is a highly intricate and ornate period piece. It would make a very handsome display piece in any elegant home. I cannot guarantee, however, that the clock will work. It has not been tested. Priced accordingly.
