Antique 18th Century marine oil painting seascape on canvas in gesso frame by PCD. Oil on canvas. Possibly a Grand Tour piece. Signed by the artist - "PC Do............…" (hard to decipher as frame obscures the rest of surname). Size of gesso frame: 24 x 25.5 inches. Size of canvas: 20.5 x 17.5 inches. Weight: 3.3 kg (allow 7.5kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and also some knocks/chips to the gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Please note the frame is not original to the painting and there are some gaps around the edge, ie not a tight fit. Priced accordingly.
