Antique French artists wooden paintbox with palette.
French, circa 1920s.
Maker's plaque: "Le Franc".
Wooden box with brass catches but no handle. Misc contents include tubes of old paint, metal clip on mixing palette and wooden palette (nicely paint spattered on one side).
Size of box: 13.75 x 9.25 x 3 inches.
Weight: 1.43 kg (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age and use - various superficial marks & scratches and tubes of paint are dried and not useable but all part of its charm and character.
Better suited to a decorative item, rather than to be used.
