Antique French oil painting portrait study of South American peasants in traditional dress with donkey.

Unsigned, artist unknown, but thought to have been painted by a French artist travelling in South America.
Oil on canvas. Tatty gilt gesso frame.
Size of frame: 17 x 15 inches;
Size of canvas: 10 x 8 inches;
Size of front portrait aperture: 9.75 x 7.75 inches.
Weight: 2.2 kg (allow up to 5 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Tatty condition, commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from frame, some areas of damage with several repairs to reverse but all part of its charm and character.
This antique painting has some woodworm holes but these have been treated to eradicate.
Priced accordingly.
This painting is quite sombre and melancholy and, although photographed in daylight, please understand that it is quite dark in reality.
