Couple of Antique Royal Doulton plates entitled The Gipsies.
English, circa 1902-1930.
Maker's stamp and a handpainted number on base. Entitled "The Gipsies" - part of their “Royal English Old Scenes".
Inspired by romanticized rural and travelling-life scenes, very popular in Edwardian England.
Issued as cabinet plates and decorative wares, not originally tableware
Size: diameter: 10 inches.
Combined weight: 1.1 kg (allow up to 3 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Good condition for their age.
These belonged to my late grandmother who used to work at Royal Doulton back in the day.
