Antique oil painting portrait study of horses and dog signed E Lister

£350.00

Antique oil painting portrait study of horses and dog signed E Lister.

English, circa 1900-10.

Signed by the artist.

Oil on canvas. Gilt gesso frame.

Depicts white horse, brown horse and inquisitive dog.

Size of frame: 18.5 x 15 inches;

Size of canvas: 14.75 x 10.75 inches;

Size of front portrait aperture: 14.25 x 10.25 inches.

Weight: 1.1 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed).

Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character.

Priced accordingly.

A little note about shipping:
This beautiful piece is very old, and its gesso plaster frame is naturally rather delicate.  We will pack it with the utmost care to help it reach you safely. That said, it’s possible that fragments of plaster may loosen in transit — this is quite normal for antique frames of this kind. By purchasing, you’re accepting this small risk when shipping by courier. Unfortunately, I’m not able to offer refunds or returns for losses of gesso that may occur in delivery.
